Is a system of exercise and movement created by Joseph Pilates that is designed to increase strength, flexibility, and balance. It integrates breath and movement within proper body mechanics to increase awareness, and use all of the muscles of the body as they were designed. Most of the exercises focus on the pelvis and trunk, utilizing both stability and mobility to train the body. It can be practiced on a Mat using your own body and sometimes small props, or on specialized Pilates Apparatus or Pilates machines (the Pilates Reformer is the most common). Part of the beauty of the method is that it can be modified to fit the needs and abilities of each individual practitioner.
This is the condensed version of the Hot 90 Class. The full sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises is practiced once, with some master poses flowed together and practiced twice. A steady paced class, with more emphasis on set up of the pose, alignment once in the pose and exploring depth of the pose while maintaining regular breathing. A great way to maintain your practice, if you cannot make the Hot 90.

The Original Beginners Hot Yoga Sequence. 90 minutes, 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises practiced twice. All of the poses are beginners poses, so this class is suitable for all abilities and ages. Beginners are encouraged to listen to their body, focus on the breath, practice the pose to their ability and take breaks as needed. There are no expectations, all we ask is that you do your best to stay in the room and breathe, everything else is optional!
Yin Yoga is a quiet and meditative practice, with long holding (3-5 minutes) of passive poses. Each class focuses on a different set of poses and finishes with a guided meditation. The result is a much deeper stretch and stimulation of the body's fascial network and a more quiet and focused mind. A 60-min class, sometimes practiced with relaxing music in a warm room and gently lit room, a great way to end the day.
